Fab Look for Less: Maison Martin Margiela vs NYLA

Hey fab readers while surfing online for some fab boots for fall we came across these Maison Martin Margiela Wedge Ankle Boots. While we are unsure how we feel about the boot we think that they may be OK for an everyday look. These boots feature a studded design and a faux cut out style. While the look is not something that everyone will appreciate we have a feeling that even less people will love the price just shy of $900.00.

If this boot is your syle but the price is not then we have a feeling that you will love the NYLA Noelle Boots. These boots feature a 4" wedge heel with a similar studded design at only a fraction of the price. If these are your style then click here to shop as they are currently on sale for $99.00

The Highs and The Lows: Christian Louboutin vs H by Halston

Fab readers we have been obsessed with the Christian Louboutin Lady Daf MaryJane heel for quite some time but no matter how we look at it these shoes just aren't in the budget. We enjoy a splurge on a good pair of shoes as much as the next but just can justify spending just shy of rent on a pair of shoes.  The Lady Daf features a 6 1/4" heel with a 2" platform and can be yours for only $995...unfortunately the shoe is sold out everywhere (for those that can afford).

Never fear if the Lady Daf is out of the budget. H by Halston has an uber fabulous alternative Rosalind. The Rosalind features a 5 3/4" heel with a 2 1/8" platform. We absolutely love these shoes and the price even more. They are currently on sale for $94.99 so stop reading and click here to buy.

Fab Shoe of the Week: Sam Edelman Uma Boot

This may be the shoe that makes us want fall to come immediately. Talk about love at first sight, The Sam Edelman Uma Bootie features a 5' heel  with pony hair leopard and zebra print. This stand out boot will add flare to just about anything in the closet with the color tone being neutral, it will be easy to get a bang for your buck ($250). We are obsessing over this boot, it's looking like this may be the first fall shoe purchase.

Fab Faceoff: Shoe Edition Marc by Marc Jacobs vs See by Chloe

Fab readers I have a confession to make...I do not repeat DO NOT own any sneakers...not even a pair of  Chuck Taylors ( I know I know). I thought that was all going to change but I just cant seem to find the right pair, maybe it's because my feet are so big ( I mean a size ten does look like boat in a pair of clunky sneakers). I am slowly coming to terms with the fact that they just aren't for me.

While on my search I did find a few pair of sneaker alternative shoes that caught my eye. The first pair are a by Marc by Marc Jacobs and they feature a 4" wedge heel with a cotton and canvas combo upper and are $290.00. Something about these shoes scream the perfect casual day with a pair of cuffed up skinny jeans and combed cottton t-shirt.

I also bumped into a pair of fab See by Chloe shoes that mark a resemblence to the Marc by Marc Jacobs. The Chloe shoes feature a 3 3/4" wedge heel with a full leather upper and lining and are $345.00. While I admit these are pretty dope I'm leaning towards the Marc by marc Jacobs shoes. Let me know what you think fab readers, let us know which one wins this edition of fab faceoff

Fab Find: Steve Madden Shoe Clips

Hey fab readers while browsing online we came across Steve Madden shoe clips. Now if you are eighties babies like us (well one of us lol) you probably remember your mom wearing shoe clips. We know our our mom surely had a pair (well actually more like 8 pair). Leave it to Steve Madden to bring back the shoe clip with a modern twist. We absolutely love the idea of these shoe clips, they are a great way to modernize you fave pair of shoes that have been in the closet forever and give them a new look for only a fraction of the price of a new pair of shoes. The Steve Madden shoe clips cost between $20.00 and $30 dollars and are a fab edition to just aboutany shoe. Check out a few of our fave clips below and let us know what you think of adding shoe clips to your shoes.

The Highs and The Lows: Fendi Butterfly Platform Pumps vs Boutique 9 Caurah

Fendi Butterfly Platform Pumps-$790

Fab readers it is no secret that we LOVE Fendi shoes, however they dont love us. Fendi pumps are just way to narrow for my feet (and I measure a narrow). When I first spotted the Fendi Butterfly Platform I instantly fell in love with them but them, like the rest, the butterfly platform pumps had my feet SCREAMING after 10 minutes. Not to mention the unsexy price tag of $790 it was pretty easy to leave behind however every now and then I still think of them.

Boutique 9 Caurah Pump-$170

Allow me to introduce you fab readers to my latest obsession the Boutique 9 Caurah Platform Pumps. You can clearly see that these shoes were "inspired" by the Fendi pumps and for only a fraction of the price I think they look quite fab. The main difference between the two shoes are the Caurah Platform does not have the extra platform and it is all suede versus the leather and suede combo on the Fendi. The Caurah Pump is only a fraction price of the Fendi  and offers the same look. I'm surely purchasing for only $170!!!

The Highs and The Lows: Dolce Vita Tatum vs Bakers Elvie

Fab readers while doing a little bit of browsing online (bakers) you would never guess what we came across?!?! A pair of strikingly similar boots to our beloved Dolce Vita Tatum boots that we featured yesterday....and may we introduce the Elvie boot by Bakers Shoes. You can definately see where the Elvie boot gained its "inspiration" from, the Elivie features a 5 1/2" heel and a faux fur shaft. These boots are definately sexy and are only a fraction of the cost of the Dolce Vita Boots Tatum boots at $69.00!! While you can definately tell a difference in the quality we think that the Elvie boots will give you a similar look and with the money you save you can get a new outfit to go with them ;-) Check out the two looks and let us know what you think...the high or the low?

The Highs and Lows: YSL Pump vs. Alloy Parker Wedge

Fab readers we hope that you had a fabulous fourth of July!!!! We sure did, and had to double up the workout to make up for it ;-)

For this edition of the Highs and Lows We have the YSL Pumps that we have been obsessed with over the past year. These shoes are so sleek, sexy and modern, they feature a pointed toe and a modified wedge (which makes the shoe really stand out). The YSL Pump has a 5 1/2"  heel with a 1 1/2" platform, which means it really only feels like a 4" heel. The pump which cost $795 is sold out everywhere so if you're loving the shoe as much as we are...we recommend ebay (where we found a few pairs but not in our size).

However, for those of us that are on budgets but still fabulous none the less Alloy had provided a GORGE knockoff by the name of  the Parker Wedge...it was love at first sight...literally!!! The Parker Wedge features the same pointed toe and modified wedge as the YSL Pumps and features a 5" heel with 1" platform. The Parker wedge is available in black, forest green and a heather gray (all suede), and the best part is they are only $32.90!!! (Yes that was our expression as well, so stop reading and start buying we have the forest green in our carts, which is perfect for fall). Click here to shop

The Highs and Lows: Christian Louboutin Bridget Strass Pumps vs Dollhouse Tano Pumps

Fab readers there are very few shoes that stop us in our tracks but it was love at first site with the Bridget Strass pump (I literally think my heart skipped a beat). As soon as I put it on my foot I was prepared to go without food to add this shoe to my collection...well, that was until I saw the price was $3,325. Then reality came rearing its ugly head and the sales associate carried away my dream shoe.

I thought the shoe was out of my life forever until I stumbled across the Dollhouse Tano Pump. Whie its not an exact knockoff you can definately see where they got their inspiration from. The Tano shoe is definately a statement shoe that makes a statement with any outfit. The most fabulous part is that it is only $49.98..so with that said, stop reading and start shopping before they are all gone..click here to buy.

The Highs and Lows: Miu Miu vs. Forever 21

Fab readers we absolutely love the Miu Miu Forma Cutout Sandals. These sandals are as sexy as they come, featuring a sexy cutout weave that is perfect for day or night. Imagine how cute these shoes would look a pair of ruffled socks (pure perfection!!!) The only thing not sexy about these shoes is the price tag...talk about a reality check at $750.00 these shoes are not for the faint of heart or broke of pocket.

This is the reason we love Forever 21, if you wait long enough they will knock it off for you at a fraction of the fraction of the cost!!! Forever 21 has done an exceptional job of "channeling" the Forma Cutout by introducing the Posh Stiletto heel. The Posh Heel features an all over velvet covering with a mesh cutout style similar to the Forma Cutout. While we admit it's not an exact replica for $20.80 we are not complaining.

BTW if you dont mind spending a little bit more Aldo has an excellent Forma for $100...click here to view

These fab boots went on sale for $700 blew off the shelves...especially since they were originally $1195!!! No worries if you were unable to get your hands on these guys as ebay has a few pair floating around.

Now if you are like the rest of us and Refuse to spend that much on these boots but still appreciate the style Forever 21 has "gained inspiration" from the Chloe Crosta boots with their Rainkiss Suedette Boot. The Highs and The Lows: Alexander McQueen vs Luichiny vs Wet Seal

We must declare our love for the creative genius that is Alexander McQueen... is it anything that this man can not do?!?! The shoes... the clothes... everything is gorgeous and intriguing, he truly captures the art of fashion. Now that our love fest is over, for this edition of The Highs and The Lows we have the Alexander McQueen Studded Platform Booties. These super cute shoes are currently on sale 55% off and would "only" cost $552. The grommet slingback booties are Italian made and feature a 4 3/4" heel.

No worries if you can't afford the super sale price of $552, shoe company Luichiny has found "inspiration" from the McQueen booties and have created the Poke A Dot- Black Mystery bootie for only $87.99. The bootie offers a similar grommet design, open toe and slingback with a 4 3/4" heel. If you are loving the Luichiny version as much as we are click here to buy.

Wet Wet Seal has done it again!!! They have a Grommet Slingback that rivals Alexander McQueen for only $15.99. These are super cute a the price is a no brainer so hurry and order ladies!!!!

The Highs and Lows YSL Tribtoo Pumps vs Wetseal

YSL Tribtoo Pumps

Fab readers we could not believe our eyes when we saw the Round Toe Platform Pump from Wet Seal. It looks almost identical to the YSL Tribtoo Pump. We know that the YSL Pump has been seen on nearly every red carpet for the past few years and is definitely an investment shoe, but we just can't bring ourselves to pay $795 for this shoe...(however if we were ever to pay that much for a shoe it would probably be this shoe). Luckily Wet Seal has delivered an extremely similar pair of shoes for only.....wait for it....wait for it...$24.50!!!. Yes that is the same thing we said, for that price we can get 2 pair and so can you!!! What we love is that they didn't shorten the  heel which stands 5.5". Check them out here and get a pair in your size because these are definitely going to sell out fast.

First Look Preview: Jeffrey Campbell S/S 2010

Fab readers have we declared our love for Jeffrey Campbell lately?!? It seems as though over the past year he has dethroned Steve Madden as the knock off king for affordable shoes and we love it. It seems as though his team knows the perfect shoes to "gain inspiration" from and the shoes are such great quality. It seems as know surprise that he has chosen to do a clog for the season since it was featured on several runways for the S/S shows. Check out the first images from the collection below and let us know what you think

Current Obesseion Forever21 Rogeri Boots

Fab readers I have bee contemplating the Forever 21 Rogeri Trooper Fashion boot for the past month but I figured that would be a bit selfish of me since I am no where near finished Christmas shopping. However at a price of only $36.80 I guess I wouldn't be that bad :-) The boots are really sexy on and are pretty comfy, they feature a 4" heel and have a leopard lining (getting fancy Forever21). Since I just bought I flat pair of boots that are similar in style to this boot I would have to figure out a reason to justify buying another pair of boots.
