Meet the Woman behind the Men NBA Playoff Edition: Stylist Rachel Johnson

Fab readers while checking out Fashion Bomb Daily we ran across a snippet of an article on stylist Rachel Johnson. Rachel Johnson is stylist to several nba players including Amare Stoudemire, Lebron James and Chris Bosh. While all of these players bring something different to the game of basketball the one thing they all have in common is that they all have great style courtesy of Rachel Johnson. Check out a snippet of the interview below and click here for the full story.
"Ms. Johnson grew up in Englewood, N.J., where she fell in love with fashion at a very young age. She was voted the best dressed in high school. “My favorite outfit was a green suede Ralph Lauren Purple Label skirt with a cashmere twin set,” she said. “Teachers would stand outside classes waiting to see what I’d wear.” While attending Florida A&M University, Ms. Johnson met Groovey Lew, a hip-hop stylist who showed her the possibility of a career built on dressing celebrities. “That was my a-ha moment,” she said. After college, she wrangled a job at Essence magazine through a friend on the staff. There, she met two other well-connected stylists, June Ambrose and Sybil Pennix, whose clients included Sean Combs, Missy Elliott and the Notorious B.I.G. She went to work for them, learning the ropes".

Check out  few pics of her clients below (because we are a sucker for a well dressed man)

Matthew Williamson for Macy's

Fab readers we must have been under a rock not to know that Matthew Williamson was designing a line for Macy's. While we admit we arent the hugest fans of Macy's however our mom is a die hard fan and shopper of Macy's, so imagine our interest when she informed us of the collab. Apparently the collection has been in the works for quite some time and it is scheduled to hit Macy's stores across the country on April 13. The collection is priced between $50-$120 with specialty pieces costing up to $300. The collection focuses on bold fun prints (perfect for spring/summer) in dresses rompers and skirts mostly. The collection seems to be OK, but there are definitely a few pieces that may cause us to stop by our local Macy's. Check out a few of our fave pieces from the collection and check out your local Macy's starting April 13.

Fab Faux Furs

With Winter drawing to a close (at least for us here in Los Angeles) this bring an outwear dillema that few know how to handle...fashionably. With temps in the starting off cold in the morning 50s (freezing we know) 70s and 80s during the day and dropping to the 40s and 50s at night a girl needs an option other than wearing a parka!! May we offer the fabulous option of  layering with the grand finale of a faux fur vest on top. The faux fur is a perfect option in adding a little bit of extra glam to your every day look. We love the faux fur vest because it works during the day with jeans and its also great at night over your favorite lbd. While getting a great looking faux fur vest isnt cheap when you break it down cost per wear its a must have addition to every womens closet (and the best part is you dont have to worry about an attack from PETA). With just about every store having there winter sale this is the perfect time to grab your fave faux fur...check out a few of our fave below

Get The Look: Kim Kardashian

Kim Kardashian has definitely made a splash in the style category over the past couple years. Kim definitely knows how to mix her high and low pieces and make it all look fab (which is what we are all about).   We aren't the only ones that have noticed her style step up, with ifashionnetwork.com naming her stylist Monica Rose one of the top seven stylist for 2009. One of our favorite looks that we saw Kim wear was at the Aces and Angels Celebrity Poker Event at the Playboy Mansion. We love the simplicity of the dress, yet it is on trend it is with sharp shoulders and how she added glam with the bib necklace.

This look is a perfect example of rocking highs and lows. Kim is wearing a Topshop dress with Christian Louboutin shoes and clutch and Tuleste Market Petal Necklace. Check out our Fabulously Chic and Cheap version of Kim's look that has a little bit of our flare with the necklace and let us know what you think.
