That's My President!!!!

Hey FAB readers!!!!! We had a few complications earlier this week but we are back. Since we have been unable to post since last week, we had to take the time out to give MAJOR praise to President Obama for being honoring with the Nobel Peace Prize!!!! We know that the news was Friday but listen, this is soooooooo HUGE that we have to do our own recognition!!!! Mr. President is the 3rd in office President to be honored with the Nobel Peace Prize. He was honored due to his never ending quest to bridge the international barriers that exist in the world today and his focus and dedication to making the United States actually one nation under God, indivisible, with liberty and justice for all! Those are more than just words to Obama. He is doing EVERYTHING he can to make it reality. Everything about his presidency has been FAB! We are so happy to call President Obama and his family our First Family!!!!

Success Is Yours To Grab!

President Obama addressed student's urging them to stay in school. For some odd reason some parents and school officials were not going to elect to have their children/students watch the address. Some thought that the President would use this time to slide in other agendas that he wanted to address but President Obama steered clear of that route and kept clear at the issue at hand.... America's Children and Students who are America's Future. Some people won;t be happy no matter what our savvy President does to make this a better America. We are so proud to call President Obama our Commander and Chief! We have attached the video in case you were not able to view it on CNN yesterday. President Obama did speak the truth because not everyone will be a rapper, ball player, or reality tv star. That is but a small handful of chosen people. There are so many more that are going to have to choose a career or a trade to become successful at and there is nothing wrong with that. There is NOTHING FABULOUS about being a drop out!

It All Comes Down To The Money

Okay FAB readers, we were forwarded some information regarding U.S. Currency earlier today and felt it our duty to pass on the information to our FAB readers! Well it looks as though we have a new coin in our mists. The dollar coin has been updated. Now usually this would not be a big deal and we would not post such information because as long as the dollar coin can do what it's suppose to do then what's the big deal?! This time around something about the coin has caused several eyebrow raises here at Fabulously Chic and Cheap and apparently elsewhere as well! This new dollar coin does NOT, I repeat does NOT have "In God We Trust" ANYWHERE on the coin!!!! Yeah we are looking cross as well! I mean who authorized this crap?! If it were up to me, all of the coins would be recalled immediately and get that good stamp of approval that this country needs, "In God We Trust." And we are not saying who or what your God needs to be but everyone def needs some type of higher power guiding there steps and until recently all of our coins said "In God We Trust." We may need to write in or make some calls in reference to this foolishness because this is a MESS! We were told that we could request other forms of the dollar currency instead of accepting this outrageous coin. We have decided that we need all of our money to have that GREAT stamp of approval on it because "In God We Trust"

Inspiring Words from Andre Leon Talley

Fab readers while checking out The Fashion Bomb, I came across an interview that Andre Leon Talley did with CNN in regards to students who are graduating in fashion or want to pursue fashion the industry. The main point that he stresses throughout the interview is to stay with it regardless of how long it takes....if it is truly your passion. Fab readers I can not agree more, as someone who changed their major junior year of college (to Fashion Marketing) and moved across the country to pursue their passion, I support everything that he says. Even in this economy I believe that if it is something that you want, you persevere and push through until you reach your goal. I know this is something that everyone says but it is true, and I have to remind myself everyday to continue my tunnel vision until my goals have been met. Check out the video of the interview below.
