Fabulous Model of the Week: Lara Stone

Welcome to the first edition of Fabulous Model of the Week. This is where we here at Fabulously Chic and Cheap showcase a model that has us screaming GORGE!!!!!!! at the top of our lungs. We figured who better to start with than the uber-fabulousness that is Lara Stone. Lara Stone was born on December 30, 1983 in Berlin and was signed to Elite Modeling Agency at the age of 15. Now represented by IMG,Lara Stone has walked for everyone from Prada, Louis Vuitton, Chanel, Lanvin, Fendi, D&G, and Karl Lagerfeld amongst many others. Included in her many accomplishments she was featured as the sole model and cover model for the Paris Vogue February 2009 issue. Lara has been credited with bringing back the real woman model with measurements 34-24-35. While she has been on our radar for a while now it was not until we saw the images from her upcoming Vogue issue with brunette hair that her hotness turned up another 100 degrees. Check out a few of our fave images of her below, and let us know who's your fave model of the moment

The Highs and The Lows: Rihanna

Rihanna looked absolutely stunning when she went out for her publicist's birthday at Greenhouse last week. We have been searching all over to find a similar skirt to her Katy Rodriguez Leather Ruffle Skirt that won't break the bank. Thank God for Topshop!!!! They have the latest fashions at a reasonable price and have killer sales. Unfortunately without one near in LA we are forced to do our shipping online. While doing our weekly check in with Topshop we found the Navy Disco Dress by Rare that is similar enough to satisfy our need for the Katy Rodriguez Leather Ruffle Skirt and still have money left to go out with. The Navy Disco dress features ruffled layering and paneling to give the same illusion as the Katy Rodriguez skirt. Check it out and let us know what you think of this edition of The Highs and The Lows

Anything He Can Do She Can Do Better: Menswear Inspired Shoes

Image:Style.com
Fab Readers it seems as though the return of flats is coming with a vengeance. Menswear Inspired shoes have been popping up on everyone from models to celebrities to everyday fashionistas. When we first began seeing the shoes pop up in stores last year we loved the idea of wearing a men's inspired oxford wingtip shoe with a cropped pant and crisp white shirt. The great thing is now the men's inspired shoe has popped up at stores of all price points :-) . Let us know if you will be partaking in the trend going into Fall. We are sure your feet will thank you.
