Meet the Woman behind the Men NBA Playoff Edition: Stylist Rachel Johnson
Fab readers while checking out Fashion Bomb Daily we ran across a snippet of an article on stylist Rachel Johnson. Rachel Johnson is stylist to several nba players including Amare Stoudemire, Lebron James and Chris Bosh. While all of these players bring something different to the game of basketball the one thing they all have in common is that they all have great style courtesy of Rachel Johnson. Check out a snippet of the interview below and click here for the full story.
Check out few pics of her clients below (because we are a sucker for a well dressed man)
"Ms. Johnson grew up in Englewood, N.J., where she fell in love with fashion at a very young age. She was voted the best dressed in high school. “My favorite outfit was a green suede Ralph Lauren Purple Label skirt with a cashmere twin set,” she said. “Teachers would stand outside classes waiting to see what I’d wear.” While attending Florida A&M University, Ms. Johnson met Groovey Lew, a hip-hop stylist who showed her the possibility of a career built on dressing celebrities. “That was my a-ha moment,” she said. After college, she wrangled a job at Essence magazine through a friend on the staff. There, she met two other well-connected stylists, June Ambrose and Sybil Pennix, whose clients included Sean Combs, Missy Elliott and the Notorious B.I.G. She went to work for them, learning the ropes".

Fab Find: Steve Madden Shoe Clips
Hey fab readers while browsing online we came across Steve Madden shoe clips. Now if you are eighties babies like us (well one of us lol) you probably remember your mom wearing shoe clips. We know our our mom surely had a pair (well actually more like 8 pair). Leave it to Steve Madden to bring back the shoe clip with a modern twist. We absolutely love the idea of these shoe clips, they are a great way to modernize you fave pair of shoes that have been in the closet forever and give them a new look for only a fraction of the price of a new pair of shoes. The Steve Madden shoe clips cost between $20.00 and $30 dollars and are a fab edition to just aboutany shoe. Check out a few of our fave clips below and let us know what you think of adding shoe clips to your shoes.

Spring Trend: Colorblocking
So fab readers we decided to provide you with a little bit more of the colorblocking (see we REALLY like this trend). Colorblocking has popped up on the SS 2011 runways from designers across the board including Gucci, Burberry and Jil Sander. We just showcased a few looks so that you all could see what color tones to look for when pairng pices for a color blocking outfit. Let us know if you are bold enough to try this spring trend and if so what colors you like to combine to achieve the look.
Ooutfit Post: Colorblocking
With the Spring trend focusing on colorblocking I decided to give it a try for work today. While I got mixed responses at work (not that it matters) I personally think that this is a trend that I am on board for . Colorblocking is a great way to get the most bang out of your wardrobe by incorporating seperates that can be mixed and matched. Here is my look for the day with two different shoes. For some reason after the gym I have a hard time putting my heels back on but I figured I would show you all both looks.

Fab Recipe: Red Velvet Cupcakes
Very few people know that we cook. Well I am more of a baker but my sister (Nikah) she is more of a cook. Since that is something else that we love to do we decided that we would start sharing a few of our fave recipes. For Easter I decided to test out a new recipe that I came across for red velvet cupcakes. I got the recipe for the cupcakes from food network, it was featured on the episode of Throwdown with Bobby Flay vs the Cakeman (that episode always makes me think of making the band). I tried Bobby Flay's recipe and a cream cheese frosting that I found on allrecipes.com.
Overall the cupcakes turned out pretty good, it reminded me of more of a light red velvet, it was not as rich but still pretty tasty. The cupcakes got pretty good reviews from everyone that ate them, however I am still on the quest for the perfect Red Velvet recipe (I will probably try Paula Deen's next). I included the recipe below that I made the cupcakes with, let me know how they turn out or if you have a fave red velvet recipe in the comments ;-)

Easter Sunday Part 2
Much like my FAB sister, my closet has not been giving me my usual thunder that it does.... That being said... Its been far too long since the last post but never fear, we are back on it. Easter Sunday was good day for not only our closets but also our bundles of joy... Hope you enjoy my look from Zara with Suede Heels from Steve Madden. Mean while our little model men Arlington and Keaton rocked their Sunday's best as well. For some reason it appears to be their one dress up Sunday per year... Oh well!
