Cool Clip: Alexander Wang

Fab readers while browsing youtube last night we ran across a pretty cool interview between the New York Times and Alexander Wang. We are sure that you know that Alexander Wang has been one of the "it" designers amongst the young fashionable crowd for the past few seasons and has no intention on slowing down anytime soon. Check out the interview below (and a post of his NYFW show coming soon).

Doo.Ri Does Edgy

Fab readers we know that we haven't done much coverage of NY Fashion Week but we have been watching the coverage, reading the tweets and checking style.com for the latest updates. Every so often we would see a collection where we loved every piece and Doo.Ri's Spring 2010 collection was on of them. Doo.Ri called the collection edgy which is extremely far from what her designs are known for, but with this collection she finds a happy medium between the two. We call the collection good girl gone bad that's still good (just likes to dress a little bad). The collection still features draping (which she is know for) but with chains and sheer inserts throughout. The color palette for the collection was various shade of silver and gray with pops of color including blue and green. Check out a few of our fave looks from the collection and let us know what some of your favorites are from New York Fashion Week 2009.

Fabulous Fall Look-Chloe 2009

Fab readers this Chloe Fall 2009 ad sums up every trend for this Fall season. Our fave look is the one on the far right. This look literally has every trend for this season wardrobed perfectly. Ladies, to make sure you look fabulous this season make sure to invest in these four essential pieces for the season: a pair of thigh high boots, a mid thigh length pair of leather shorts , a silk shirt (medium fit) and an oversized knee length cardigan. What we love about the pieces in the ad is that they are great interchangeable separates and by wearing just one of these pieces can update (and upgrade) any look this Fall season. We are going to be bringing you looks that we deem "Fabulous Fall Looks" in the upcoming weeks and where you can get the look with a fraction of the cost...stay tuned fab readers for more great looks.

Where Did You Find Those?

Hey ladies, SHOE ALERT!!!! A new Shoe Boutiquue has opened in LA. Mona Moore Shoe Boutique is here, specializing in Runway Shoes and Handbags. The store was opened by Mona Moore who owns a Montreal-based shoe boutique of the same name. The boutique prides itself in shelving hard to find designers such as Ann Demeulemeester, Marni, Dries Van Noten, Lanvin, and Pierre Hardy and even harder-to-find folks like Phi and Zoraide.

For all you shoe lovers, the store also prides itself in offering same day courier service so that you may purchase by phone and have your desired heels, boots, sandals, delivered to your door. Let us make no mistake about it, this store is not the place for the woman on a budget, the shoes are pricey and could possibly break your bank but we just had to tell you because who knows, you may want to splurge sometimes... You're worth it.

The store is located at:
Mona Moore, 1112 Abbot Kinney Boulevard, between Westminster Avenue and Aragon Court, Venice,CA (310-452-4070)

Name Your Target...

A mere 4 days ago, September 13th, Anna Sui released her new line of clothing for Target. Back in May, the High End Designer announced that she had collaborated with Target to design clothing that is loosely based on the CW series Gossip Girls (Serena, Blair, Vanessa, and Jenny). What does this mean for us ladies? Well now we get to choose which character do we find we most emulate, style wise, and pick up some of the trendy pieces for a mere fraction of the cost of Anna Sui's High end designs. The price point for the Target line is between $19.99-$149.99... I think we can handle that, right ladies?! Anna Sui reported that the clothing line is a mix of the art and spirit of New York City blended with Sui's signature prints, silhouettes, and and use of color. So the next time you are in your local Target, take a moment to look through, create, and gain the swag of your fav Gossip Girl for a great price. The 2009 Fall collection is also available at target.com. We feel that these designs surely capture all of our hopes of being FABULOUS CHIC and CHEAP (or shall we say recession and budget friendly). Check out some of the Gossip Girls inspired looks below. Anna Sui did her thing with this one. We will def be rocking a several of the pieces in the very near future.
