Fab Chic and not so Cheap ...but a Great Cause
So Fab people, with the election drawing near it seems like everyone is making a public stand on which candidate they are supporting through their wardrobe. While everyone who knows us here at Fabulously Chic and Cheap knows that we avid supporters of the Obama-Biden ticket we don't have any fab merchandise that shows it (we know that's not what's important but you can't blame a girl). While checking out Concreteloop we noticed that almost every great American designer has created a fab fashion piece for the Obama campaign to be sold on his website under the name Runway to Change and while we saw some fab and not so fab pieces, we fell in love with the shirt above designed by Nanette Lepore...the only thing we didn't love is the $65.00 price tag. The money does go towards the campaign which is the only reason we are still considering the shirt but still we don't know... this is a recession people. Check out the website to see more of the designer pieces (click here).

Open Toe Boots for Fall
Alright Fabulous readers, last week we began telling you how to update last seasons Fall wardrobe with great accessories so we figured why not continue with fab footwear. One of our favorite trends that we are seeing this fall are the open toe booties. We first took notice to this trend last year with Balenciaga and now it has finally trickled down to fab chic and cheap retailers. The open booties are great for Fall's transitioning weather and looks great with pants, dresses and everything in between. The open toe booties is fun, fresh and we love it. These are a couple of our favorites.

The Oversized Clutch
Well ladies on the last post we focused on bringing you the one of the latest trends in accessories: Statement Necklaces. This time around we are going to focus on one of the hottest Fall handbag trends of the season: the Oversized Clutch. This is a trend that designers introduced last year but it did not catch on here in states like it did overseas. With a little tweaking, the clutch is back and better than before. While it does take time getting used to carrying a clutch that size, the bag does have great functionality (you can actually fit things in it) and it adds a great pop of fabulousness for day or night. We here at Fabulously Chic and Cheap think that the oversized clutch is a great fall bag and give it our stamp of approval. (FYI Black Clutch: Target NYC by Perlina Clutch: $34.99)

The New Nameplate Necklace
Were sitting around watching old episodes of Sex and the City trying to figure out if we could bring back the nameplate necklace for Fall, and with everyone looking for ways to update their Fall wardrobes from last season at an affordable price, the first place to look would be accessories. With funky accessories the old can look new once again. A great way to update any outfit, casual or dress is with a statement necklace. While it's not the Carrie nameplate, it is a great fun 2008 version in our opinion. Rather a single or multi pendant necklace it adds a pop against any background. Here are a few of our favorites... all from Forever 21 and all under $8.00 (how fabulous is that?!).
