Fab Song of the Week: Letoya Luckett-Regret

Fab readers this is def one of our fave songs right now...don't get me started on why, just know that the lyrics speak to the heart :-) Check out the video below wear Letoya is rocking the trend of purple lips for fall and some pretty fly fashion.

Current Obesseion Forever21 Rogeri Boots

Fab readers I have bee contemplating the Forever 21 Rogeri Trooper Fashion boot for the past month but I figured that would be a bit selfish of me since I am no where near finished Christmas shopping. However at a price of only $36.80 I guess I wouldn't be that bad :-) The boots are really sexy on and are pretty comfy, they feature a 4" heel and have a leopard lining (getting fancy Forever21). Since I just bought I flat pair of boots that are similar in style to this boot I would have to figure out a reason to justify buying another pair of boots.

Welcome Home Dolce Vita

Fab readers when I ran across these boots I knew I HAD to have them. They are super sexy and sleek and most important comfortable!!! I had been eyeing the boots for the past few weeks but when they went on sale plus a private sale I knew they were coming home with me, even if I had to go down a half size because they were sold out in mine. The best part of the shoe is the slouchy shaft. I have been searching for the past few months for a boot with a slouchy shaft every since I saw a pair of Elizabeth and James boots that I fell in love with but were waaaayyyyy out of my budget. I think these Dolce Vita Jayden boots definitely fit the bill without breaking the bank.

Fab Model of the Week: Daul Kim (1989-2009)

Fab readers we know that it has been a while since we have posted a fab model of the week and we hate to post under these unfortunate circumstances but we feel that the fab model of the week post should be dedicated to Daul Kim. We are sure that by now you all have heard the tragic news of her apparent suicide but we want to take this time to celebrate her work in the fashion industry.

Daul Kim, born May 31, 1989 in Seoul, South Korea began modeling in 2007. She had appeared on the covers of Vogue Korea, Harper's Bazaar (Korea) and has been features in spreads include Vogue, i-D and V magazine. She has also walked for top fashion houses including Salvatore Ferragamo, Alexander McQueen, and Chanel. Daul was recently named Karl Lagerfeld's new "muse".

Daul Kim accomplished things that most girls can only dream of in her short career in modeling and had wanted to venture into other creative outlets including painting and film. While her career was short she will live on through beautiful pictures she took and the people that knew her best. Check out some video footage that we found of her below and some of our fave photos

The Highs and The Lows: Gucci vs Steve Madden

Fab readers we must admit that we are not huge fans of Gucci shoes. They just don't move us, well that is until we stumbled upon the Gucci Kills Platform Peeptoe Booties. The heels on these booties are mind blowing (we see were the came up with the name from lol). The peeptoe design features a double platform and are definitely a show stopper. While we can think of one hundred adjectives we can use to describe the boots the one word we cant use is cheap. These boots are going to run you $990, so while we love them, we don't love them THAT much.
Never fear fashionista's that are ballin' on a budget Steve Madden was "inspired" by the Gucci Kills boots also. Allow us to introduce the Belina Platform Bootie. It features a 5.75" heel and a similar design to the Gucci Kills Bootie for a fraction of the price. The Belina is only going to cost you $120 and are offering free shipping.

Fab Song of the Week: N.E.R.D.- Provider

Fab readers we recently ran across the video Provider by N.E.R.D. and we forgot how much we loved this song. We actually loved this entire album, it was in heavy rotation for like a year. Check out the video below.

Fab Trend: Over the Knee Boots

Fab readers if you want a quick way to update any outfit for Fall we recommend a pair of over the knee boots. This look has been seen on some of your fave celebs on and off the red carpet, with Ciara being a huge fan of the look amongst others. While this trend has been around for the past few seasons it seems as though over the knee boots have gained a resurgence and are available at every price point for the Fall. That means that you don't have to break the bank to rock one of the hottest trends this season (we found pairs for less than $50, now that's recession proof). Check out a few of our faves that we found for under $150 (btw we will be purchasing the pair from Newport News).

Don't be Tardy for the Party

Fab readers we love to put together outfits on polyvore to test out different looks. This is one that we have been envisioning in our haute heads for a while now. We love the play of different textures and patterns and bringing traditional spring pieces into the fall season. Check out one of our fave looks that we have put together that have us ready to hit the streets. Let us know what are some of your fave pieces that you will be transitioning into the Fall season?

Jean Paul Gaultier next to design for Target

The collaborations with Target don't look like they are going to end any time soon and appear to be getting better and better. It was announced that Jean Paul Gaultier is the next designer to partner with Target to design a collection. Gaultier is the third designer behind Alexander McQueen and Anna Sui to design a collection for Target, who both did extremely well marketing to the mass market shoppers. Gaultier's collection is scheduled to arrive in stores (250 stores)
March 7 - April 11. Target stated the collection is one that we shoppers will love, as it "pays tribute to the American woman, celebrating the forces of style both past and present in American pop culture,"[wwd]. Our only question is how toned down will the looks be for Target or will he continue with his over the top fashions that he has become synonymous with.
